Roger Johnson – Chief Executive Officer
Roger brings over 40 years of fire service leadership in both rural districts and city departments. Prior to joining Deschutes County Rural Fire Protection District #2, he served 12 years as Fire Chief for Sisters-Camp Sherman RFPD, where he strengthened financial stability and advanced long-term planning. He has been an active leader on local, state, and national wildfire committees and maintains strong partnerships with public agencies and fire organizations to enhance community safety and wildfire resilience.

Gary Marshall- Executive Director
Gary began his fire service career in 1977 with Jefferson County Fire District #1 as a volunteer and a seasonal firefighter, later becoming a career Firefighter-EMT promoting to Assistant Chief before accepting a position with the City of Bend Fire Department in 1995. There he served as Fire Marshal and later Deputy Chief, retiring in 2012. Gary then worked with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District focusing on wildfire prevention and community risk reduction. Since 2018 Gary has served as Executive Director for Deschutes County Rural Fire Protection District #2, currently bringing over 48 years of fire service experience and leadership to the community he serves.
